Insurance & Payment Information
FosteringConnections is committed to helping clients understand their insurance coverage and payment options. We may accept select insurance plans for eligible behavioral health services. Insurance participation and coverage may vary depending on the provider, service, location, and individual health plan.
Clients are responsible for contacting their insurance company directly before beginning services to verify benefits, provider network participation, covered services, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, authorization requirements, and other possible out-of-pocket expenses. FosteringConnections may assist with verifying available benefits when possible; however, any information obtained does not guarantee coverage or payment. Final coverage and reimbursement decisions are made solely by the insurance company.
Clients remain financially responsible for deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, noncovered or denied services, and any balances not paid by their insurance plan.
Specialized Forensic Services
All Specialized Forensic Treatment and Rehabilitation services for youth and adults are self-pay services and are not covered by or billed to health insurance companies. Clients are responsible for the full cost of forensic treatment, assessments, reports, court-related services, case coordination, polygraph examinations, and other applicable program requirements. Payment is due on the day each service is provided.
Depending on individual circumstances, some clients may be considered for the FosteringConnections Sliding Fee Discount Program. Eligibility is determined individually on a case-by-case basis, and participation or financial assistance is not guaranteed. Clients must apply and receive approval before any discount is applied.
In some circumstances, payment assistance or alternative funding arrangements may be available through an approved third-party source. Any such arrangement must be confirmed and authorized before services are provided.
Private-Pay and Out-of-Network Options
Private-pay options are available for clients who do not have insurance, prefer not to use insurance, or receive services that are not eligible for insurance billing.
For eligible general behavioral health services, FosteringConnections may provide a superbill that clients can submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined solely by the insurance company and is not guaranteed. Superbill or out-of-network reimbursement options do not apply to Specialized Forensic Treatment and Rehabilitation services.
